Hacker News Who Is Hiring
Every monthly "Who is hiring?" thread, turned into a sortable table of tech jobs with real salary bands. 525 roles from 122 companies across 6 months, and nothing ever scrolls away.
What this is
An independent index of the Hacker News "Who is hiring?" thread, one page per month, kept online permanently. Not affiliated with Hacker News or Y Combinator — the thread is public and every company name here links back to the original comment. The current issue rebuilds twice a day at 06:00 and 18:00 UTC; once a month closes it stops changing and becomes a record of who was hiring, at what level, for how much.
Two rules shape what you see. Every role carries a salary band, because a listing without one is not indexed at all. And no company gets more than two roles in an issue, so an employer hiring forty engineers cannot own the page. The first rule is worth being precise about: it means the bands here describe the subset of employers willing to publish, not the market as a whole. It is a filter on what gets in, not a claim that pay transparency is universal.
Why a table rather than a thread
The format this borrows from is a monthly comment thread where employers post themselves, one line each. That is excellent for reading and hopeless for comparing: you cannot rank a thread by pay, filter it to remote-only, or ask it what a staff engineer was worth four months ago. Normalising every band to USD and putting it in a sortable column answers all three. The cross-month search answers the fourth, which is whether a company keeps reappearing.
Each company name links back to the posting it came from, so nothing here asks you to take our word for it.

Frequently asked
What is this?
One page per month listing every senior engineering role we indexed that month, each with a salary band the employer published, sortable by pay, level, location and remote policy. Closed months stay online permanently.
How often does it update?
Twice a day, at 06:00 and 18:00 UTC. The current month rebuilds on each drop; closed months stop changing.
Is this the Hacker News thread itself?
No, and this site is not affiliated with Hacker News or Y Combinator. The thread is posted on the first of each month and employers comment their own openings. This archive reads those public postings, de-duplicates them, normalises the bands into a sortable table and keeps every month addressable at its own URL. Each company name links back to the original comment.
Can I search across every month?
Yes. The cross-month search covers every issue at once and tells you which month each hit came from.
